Est. Galway, 1999
Cosy, candlelit, and quietly wonderful — wood-fired pizza, homemade pasta and Sardinian specialities from a kitchen with over 25 years of Italian soul.
Our Story
Mona Lisa has been a real Westend favourite for over two decades — a warm, candlelit room where regulars become friends and every table feels like the best one in the house.
Head chef Massimo Vacca brings more than 25 years of experience across Italy, Australia and the UK to the kitchen, with Galway home since 1999. Hailing from Cagliari, Massimo folds Sardinian specialities into a menu built on slow-roasted pork belly, baked aubergine, and tomato sauces layered with garlic and aged parmesan.
It's the kind of place, one guest wrote, that "you don't want to leave."
