Meet James Gallagher
James started barbering at 17, straight out of school, and has spent over three decades mastering the trade on the streets of Galway. Every cut starts with an assessment — weight distribution, head shape, face shape, bone structure — before the scissors ever come out.
"The skill of cutting is being fast-tracked to only a few styles," James says of modern barbering. At Gallagher Galway, it's the opposite: real technical expertise in fades, textured cuts, side partings, quiffs and comb-overs, tailored to you.
When he's not behind the chair, James is on stage with Johnny Gallagher & the Boxtie Band — so don't be surprised if the shop's playing a tune he wrote himself.
